Aja Nachle - Re-Creation

Hello People..!!!

Here I am with "Aja Nachle" - Re-Creation
Mount : Canvas Frame
Size : 16" x 20"
Medium : Acrylics

This is a very famous pose of the song "O Re Piya" of the movie, which involves so many emotions that you can see in the image below (I have not put any in my painting). But my main focus was the dress, its flow on Canvas.

I have tried to re-create the same image, by adding a texture technique in the dress. That made it so live and feel the way its moving in the real image.

A new attempt of leaning something new everyday helps me to create something new. You can see it with detail in the image below.

This was a new and good learning experience of mine.
I'll be back with something new next time.

Warli Art - The Tribal Art of India

Hello People..!!!
Here I am with something new, "Warli Art - The Tribal Art of India".
Above Image, "The Dance"
Mount : Card Parer
Medium : Acrylics
Size : 12" x 12"

Worlies are the largest tribe in Maharastra, India. They have their own beliefs, life, customs and traditions, which is a part of Composite Hindu culture. The word "Warli" is derived from "Warla", which means " piece of land or field". Traditionally printed by Woman on mud walls, Warli paintings are vivid expression of daily and social events. They are an example of diversity in Indian Art. They also tell us about their life and communication in those days.

"The Family"
Mount : Card Paper
Medium : Acrylics
Size : 12" x 12"

Worli paintings are very different from other folk and tribal paintings in India. The Worli art form is similar to to the pre-historic cave paintings in its execution and they use a very basic graphic vocabulary. These paintings made on austere mud base using one colour, White, with occasional dots in red or yellow. The white pigment is the mixture of "Rice Paste" and water with Gum as a binding agent. Traditionally, when painting the mud walls, Warlies use a bamboo stick chewed at the end, to make it work like a paintbrush.

This was my first attempt in Worli art, and some basic information to share about Warli Art. For more information you can go to the link

I'll be back with something new in my next post.

Ganesha - A hanging miniature Painting

Hello People..!!!
Here I am with something new, "3 miniature hanging Painting of Ganesha"
Mount : Canvas Board
Size : 5"x 7" Each
Medium : Acrylics

This a series of miniature painting of Ganesha..!! Which one can hang on the wall too..!!
This are different incarnation of Ganesha, describing his name..!!
There are different 108 names of Ganesha, but here I have done only 3 of them.
Above one is called "Vakratunda" which means Vakra (Curved) Tunda (Trunk/Soond).

This one is called "Ekdantam" which means Ek (One) Dantam(Tooth).

"Gajanan" means Gaja (Elephant) Anan (Countenance), or Elephant faced God..!!

To put this three on frame was not suitable as per the concept so I thought to do something that can put all three togather..!! and I added a hanging string (Nadachadi) with cute bells in bottom..!!

Here you can see the details as well..!!

Well, I'll be back with something new next time..!!

The Moon

Hello People...!!

The Moon - One of my Favourite one..!

Mount : Canvas Frame
Size : 12"x16"
Medium : Acrylics

Its been a long time I have published my painting.. So I am putting my favourite "The moon"
This one I made from a real picture , a tree in desert, & by changing the concept it looks different. And some one said "The Hunted"... he might be right..!!

As you can see the in above image I made it with tree & moon. But I was feeling something is still missing here, and flying birds made it live..!!

One of our friend visited our home and when he saw this painting he loved it too much, and so The Moon is with him now.
I will post that picture soon, "The moon" on the right wall.

I'll be back soon....
